Welcome to Win Archery Academy.
We are a private archery academy based in Fairfax Station, VA. The academy was founded in 2016 by Coach Dong Won Kang to introduce recurve archery to the next generation of archers with hopes of competing internationally.
In just under three years, our growing Olympic Recurve Archery Team has trained tirelessly to bring home more than 75 medals from local, state, and national competitions, all while breaking multiple established records.
We are extremely proud of our dedicated young archers who continue to grow and push themselves as individual athletes and as respectful members of the broader global archery community.
Congratulations to the 4 newest members of the 2021 US Archery TEAM (USAT)! These archers together with the instruction of Win Archery’s coaching staff, have worked together tirelessly in order to hone their individual archery skills.
Making USAT is a tremendous accomplishment that reflects countless hours and arrows of practice, travel and competition. Athletes who compete on the USAT event circuit do an amazing balancing act of school, work, family, friends and countless other commitments. It takes a great amount of time, effort and personal sacrifice and the dedication required to reach this level of success is significant.
RecreationAl Archery
For new or interested archers, our recreational archery program is a great way to learn foundational archery skills in a group setting. Space is limited to 5 students per session. Contact us today to schedule your first visit.
RECURVE ARCHERY Team
Win Archery Academy’s Olympic Recurve Archery Team is comprised of 20 archers ranging from Bowmen to Juniors. Semi-private lessons are offered to its team members for more personalized training. Team membership is by invitation.
Private Lessons
Private lessons or consultations are reserved for experienced archers who may be training for a specific competition, working on refining a particular skill, or looking to take their overall skills to the next level. By appointment only.
A Coach Dedicated to discovering your potential
Coach, Dong Won Kang picked up a bow and arrow for the first time when he was only 10-years old. Our coach is no stranger to overcoming the obstacles that come with becoming a great archer.
Over the years, he has competed internationally as a member of the elite Korean National Archery Team, taught archery at the Korean Military Academy, and served as Vice President of Competitions and Judging at the Korea Archery Association.
In addition to his USA Archery Level 2 Instructor Certification, Coach Kang also holds a middle and high school teaching license, which makes him uniquely qualified in instructing archery to our youth.
